More shots from around town. Yes, it's true, we travel with cameras. Most nights though, we don't use them. Some nights we manage to get a flurry of flashes going, but many times, the best photos remain untaken. The stories, on the other hand, are always out there waiting to be told. Every night out in SoCa is an adventure and anything can happen.

If it looks like we're having fun, it's because we are. Nights out usually start early and finish very late. My close friends and I understand the value of checking out many places in a given evening. The more adventurous we are, the better the night usually is. It's an exhilirating experience, knowning that what we're doing is something that only a handful of people would ever have the opportunity or the courage to do... being ourselves, despite what anyone in the media or society at large thinks. Actually, both the media and society at large do not think - at all - and therein lies the problem. There's a great big wide world out there, waiting to be experienced. When you set your sites on experiencing all that you can as who you really are, then the fun really begins. You've gotta go Way Out - that's where the fun is.
Everybody's got their own preferred after-hours greasy spoon, but few places are like The Yukon Mining Company (see DJ Julie's photo on the left - which is sort of ironic, because Julie doesn't much care for the Yukon - lol). The Yukon made Paper Magazine's first LA to Z issue with the letter "T", which stood for "Twenty-Four Hour Tranny." If you're looking for "dinner and a show" in the wee hours of the morning, then the Yukon is the place to go. Conveniently located near 7969 and all of the Hollywood clubs, the Yukon's atmosphere is friendly and it's chock full of bizarre characters (present company included). If you're looking for a late night diner with the same atmosphere as Flourant on Gansevoort Street in Manhattan, where the entire place looks like a Jim Jarmusch film, then by all means, drop by the Yukon (Monday nights and Friday nights are the best for tranny-watchers).
So, the next time that you're out in LA, and you see a flurry of flashbulbs, it's either because some celebrities are nearby or maybe just a pack of trannies... or Strobettes... trying to capture some of the evening in digital fashion. If you see us around town, please do introduce yourself. We are always looking to meet new people and go on new adventures..
